Economists warn U.S. economic outlook remains weak despite trade truce with China

A Reuters poll found that while a 90-day tariff truce with China slightly reduced recession risks, economists overwhelmingly believe U.S. fiscal and trade policies continue to weigh on growth. After recent downgrades to GDP forecasts and upgrades to inflation expectations, the consensus outlook showed little improvement in May.
